Rossi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Burning Down the House. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rossi tries to bum rush Martin with a series of wild strikes but Martin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rossi blocks the body kick.

Rossi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rossi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rossi throws out a loose jab but Martin uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rossi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rossi looking to throw knees to the head but Martin is blocking nicely.
Rossi has Martin pressed against the cage, preventing Martin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Martin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rossi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rossi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Martin cracks Rossi with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Martin has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rossi to stand back up!

It looks like Michael Rossi has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martin scores with a nice right hand.

Rossi is rocked!
Rossi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martin throws a head kick that misses.

Martin lands a big uppercut and Rossi crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rossi looks OK. Martin waves Rossi back to his feet!
Rossi is still on wobbly legs! Can Martin finish him?
Martin is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Rossi flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Rossi is out cold! Martin holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
