The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott throws a chopping leg kick but Kala manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Kala has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Scott.
Scott fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kala is out of range.

and Scott counters with a good low kick that Kala was not able to check.
Scott lands a nice looking body shot.
A clash of legs there as Kala blocks the low kick.
Sloppy strikes from Kala. Those never looked like landing.

Kala shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kala was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Scott wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
