Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osmo Soininvaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augusto Vera has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Augusto Vera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Osmo Soininvaara!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vera gets the takedown into side control.
Soininvaara is not content to let Vera control the position.

Vera tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Soininvaara is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vera off and has taken his back!

Vera turns into Soininvaara and is now in his guard.

Vera trying to control the position from guard on top but Soininvaara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Soininvaara is on top in guard.

Vera is looking for a triangle but Soininvaara pushes his legs off easily.
Soininvaara is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Vera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soininvaara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Soininvaara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vera is trying to keep Soininvaara in close.

Vera is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Soininvaara defends well.

Vera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vera is trying to hold Soininvaara in close to prevent damage but Soininvaara has managed to pass into half guard.

Vera wants to improve his position but Soininvaara is controlling well.
Well, if Soininvaara is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Still in half guard, Soininvaara seems content to control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Vera is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Soininvaara pulls his head out easily.

A close round but Osmo Soininvaara will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Vera misses with an uppercut. Soininvaara saw that one coming.
Soininvaara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vera moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vera throws the left hand but Soininvaara avoids the punch easily.
Soininvaara misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Soininvaara scores with a jab to the jaw.
Vera takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Augusto Vera has been cut.
Augusto Vera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soininvaara stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Soininvaara wants it to stay on the feet.
Vera takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
