The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punchistan tries to clinch up but Kierre circles away and keeps his distance.

Kierre drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Punchistan is trying to control Kierre's posture but Kierre avoids it.
Punchistan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kierre asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Kierre controls the position.
Kierre has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Punchistan tries to escape but Kierre is in control.
Punchistan is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Anselmi Kierre wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kierre shoots in but no luck this time.
Punchistan doesn't manage to clinch there - Kierre circles away.

Kierre shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Punchistan is bucking up trying to escape but Kierre cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Kierre controlling the position easily from mount.
Punchistan tries to lock up and control but Kierre gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kierre tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kierre won't let Punchistan get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Punchistan looks gassed!

Punchistan is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Punchistan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kierre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kierre lands a heavy elbow.
Kierre is landing with some decent strikes but Punchistan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
