Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Leiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leiva's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Spiderbait - Black Betty. Boom has chosen Fedor Entrance Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Nicolas Leiva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Boom!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leiva tries for a takedown but Boom sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Boom shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Leiva is in trouble now - Boom has advanced to mount!
Boom has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Leiva's face.
Boom pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Boom jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Leiva manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Boom is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Leiva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Boom working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Leiva prevents Boom from moving into mount.

Boom wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Leiva, who protects the arm well.
Leiva tries to buck Boom off but Boom is having none of it.

Boom is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Leiva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Leiva regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boom is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leiva is just riding it out for now. Boom eventually gives up the hold.
Leiva is staying active underneath Boom, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boom wants to pass to mount but Leiva is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boom is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Boom thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Boom looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Boom is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Boom is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Leiva is breathing heavily.
Boom tries to pass to full mount but Leiva defends it.

Boom wants to work for an arm triangle but Leiva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Boom is looking to take a break and control but Leiva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Boom is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Boom is trying to control the action in half guard but Leiva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Boom keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Boom uses his free foot to push down on Leiva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Leiva.

Boom working for a guillotine from mount but Leiva is in no mood to give up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boom looking to control but Leiva is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Boom dominated that round.
That's time! Leiva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Boom cracks Leiva with a good jab.
Boom takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Boom misses with a series of wild punches.
Leiva fails with the takedown

and Boom counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Leiva's guard now.
Leiva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Boom thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Boom passes into half guard.
Boom works his way into side control.
Bobby Boom has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boom lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Leiva down.
Boom trying to control the action but Leiva is working from the bottom.
Boom has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Leiva!
Boom connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Boom is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Leiva is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bobby Boom!
