The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Da Silva. That snapped Patino's head back.
It looks like Rodrigo Patino has been cut.
Da Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Patino momentarily.
Da Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Patino. Patino gets slowly back to his feet.
Patino tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Da Silva swivels and escapes.
Da Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Da Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Patino, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nilo Da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Patino.
Patino shoots in and gets a takedown into Da Silva's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rodrigo Patino hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Patino shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Da Silva pinned against the cage. Da Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Patino shoots in for a double leg but Da Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Da Silva lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Da Silva lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Patino at a distance.
Da Silva jabs Patino right on the nose. Patino blinks but takes it well.
Da Silva moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Da Silva keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That has opened up Rodrigo Patino's cut even more.
Patino tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Da Silva swivels and escapes.

Patino takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Da Silva connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
The cut above Rodrigo Patino's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Rodrigo Patino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Patino takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A punch lands to the side of Patino 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Rodrigo Patino's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Da Silva lands a jab to the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rodrigo Patino's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Nilo Da Silva!
