Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Column (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Ribero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Column!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Ribero!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribero throws a hook but Column avoids it easily.
Ribero throws a shot from downtown. Column moves away and avoids it.
Ribero throws a right and a left that Column avoids nicely.
Ribero misses with a looping right.
Column circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ribero swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Column changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ribero tries to avoid it but Column manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ribero to the ground. Ribero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ribero stuffs the takedown.
Column moves out of range of the strikes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Column gets a takedown into half guard.
Column lands strikes from half guard.
Column prevents Ribero from improving his position.
Ribero moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ribero tries to strike from the bottom.
Ribero wants to stand up but Column is controlling him.
Column throws a big right hand that misses.
Column postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Ribero is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ribero has his foot on Column's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Column works his way back into a safe position though.
Ribero throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Column is working Ribero over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Column with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Column missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Column lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Column got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ribero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Column has managed to get both his arms back between Ribero's legs - danger averted.

Column winds up and cracks Ribero with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Ribero has hold of Column's hands but Column slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ribero is looking to control Column's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ribero avoid being mounted?
Column trying to control the action but Ribero is working from the bottom.
Ribero is pressing down on Column's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ribero will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Column is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Column's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Ribero is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Column lands a couple of digs.
Column lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Column wants to control from the top but Ribero keeps moving.
Column makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ribero looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ribero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Column is one step ahead there.
Ribero looks gassed!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ribero is on top in guard.

Column tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Column avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Column keeping moving, preventing Ribero from controlling successfully.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Column looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Column is looking for a triangle but Ribero pushes his legs off easily.

Column is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ribero is surviving well by controlling Column's body position as best he can.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Column drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ribero wants to control but Column postures up.

Ribero is staying active underneath Column, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Alex Column overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Column lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Column connects with a nice short shot to Ribero's temple.

Column lands a big shot there that rocks Ribero but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Column stands up over Ribero, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Column passes Ribero's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Column takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Nice strikes from Column there.

Column lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Column lands a nice short elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Ribero throws a hook but Column avoids it easily.

Column shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Column was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ribero wants to hold on but Column pushes him away.
Ribero is looking to improve his position but Column isn't that keen on the idea.
Column is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Ribero tries to lock up and control but Column gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Column postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Ribero badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Column around the waist but Column pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Column is the winner by TKO! Column jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Column!
