Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Jayar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes to the cage accompanied by Sephiroth Theme. Mike Jayar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jayar.

Jayar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jayar tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jayar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Aoki has a takedown stuffed.
Aoki takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jayar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jayar wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Aoki scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jayar manages to mount him!
Jayar won't let Aoki get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jayar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Aoki clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shinya Aoki.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jayar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Aoki sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Jayar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aoki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aoki tries to pass to full mount but Jayar defends it.
Aoki stops Jayar from getting back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Aoki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Shinya Aoki wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Aoki shoots in for a takedown but Jayar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Jayar counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Aoki is lucky that one didn't land flush.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Aoki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jayar won't be happy with that.
Aoki creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Aoki is working to tighten is grip on Jayar's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jayar has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Aoki is really squeezing tight and eventually Jayar passes out! Aoki breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
