Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandrovich Fyodor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Jhones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fyodor's entrance music is The Last Emperor. A fine choice. Alan Jhones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Jhones.

Jhones takes the fight into the clinch.

Fyodor has gone for a leg lock! Jhones slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fyodor's guard.

Fyodor is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jhones has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jhones!

Fyodor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fyodor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jhones moves away.

Alan Jhones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jhones shoots in looking for a takedown. Fyodor tries to sprawl out of it but Jhones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fyodor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jhones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fyodor circles away quickly and effectively.

Fyodor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jhones misses with a takedown attempt - Fyodor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fyodor throws a strike but Jhones avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Jhones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fyodor is aware though and is defending well.

Jhones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fyodor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jhones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fyodor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jhones goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Fyodor has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jhones but great work by Fyodor.

Jhones wants to get up but he can't break Fyodor's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jhones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fyodor uses from the top position.

Fyodor has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jhones to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Fyodor is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jhones pulls down on the head and he's put Fyodor to sleep! This one is all over!
