Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Samvel Kiragosyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Romanov!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romanov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Romanov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Romanov wants to stand and escape but Kiragosyan is having none of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Samvel Kiragosyan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Kiragosyan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Romanov looks gassed!
Kiragosyan stays in close to Romanov's body and controls the position.

Romanov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kiragosyan controls the pace.

Kiragosyan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Romanov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kiragosyan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kiragosyan's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Kiragosyan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Romanov, up you get!

Kiragosyan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Romanov is looking for a sweep. Kiragosyan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kiragosyan winds up and cracks Romanov with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kiragosyan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A big shot lands for Kiragosyan! That's hurt Romanov! Will he recover? Kiragosyan fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
