The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugo swats away the attempt to clinch by Hyperion.
Hyperion is looking to clinch.
Hyperion tries to close the distance and clinch but Hugo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hyperion tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hyperion is looking to clinch but Hugo is avoiding it.
Hyperion wants to clinch up but Hugo keeps it at a distance.
Hyperion slaps away a takedown attempt from Hugo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hyperion tries to clinch there but Hugo circles away.
Hyperion doesn't manage to clinch there - Hugo circles away.
Hugo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Horrible takedown by Hugo or perhaps it was just good defense by Hyperion which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hyperion tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hugo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hugo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hugo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hugo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hyperion is desperately trying to improve his position but Hugo has a good base and remains in mount.
