Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colby Sparrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colby Sparrow is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Thompson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colby Sparrow!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparrow blocks a head kick by Thompson.
Thompson misses with a double jab.
Thompson swinging wildly here.
Sparrow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thompson tries to avoid it but Sparrow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thompson to the ground. Thompson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Thompson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sparrow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Thompson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sparrow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thompson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Thompson tries to buck Sparrow off but Sparrow is having none of it.
Sparrow has hold of Thompson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Thompson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Sparrow cranks the arm and Thompson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Thompson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Colby Sparrow!
