Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sarkhan Vol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rambo's choice of entrance music: Basic Thugonomics. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vol closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rambo quickly recovers to half guard.
Vol seems to be looking for submissions.
Vol not doing much here.
Vol is stalling here. Rambo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Vol seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rambo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vol tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rambo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rambo tries to advance to mount but can't.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Vol manages to capitalize on a mistake by Rambo to take his back!

Vol wants to control the position but Rambo frees himself and scrambles - Vol manages to regain control in side control.
Vol looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Sarkhan Vol wasn't doing enough on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vol goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rambo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Vol's guard! Nice work there by Rambo!
Vol has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rambo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rambo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vol.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Sarkhan Vol has been cut.

Rambo throws a jab but it's blocked by Vol.
Vol shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rambo sprawls well. Rambo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vol gets slowly back to his feet.

Rambo is staying active underneath Vol, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Vol tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Vol has hold of Rambo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rambo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

John Rambo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
