Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aiko Zeus Flaviano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Lafleur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flaviano is looking to clinch.
Flaviano moves in looking to clinch but Lafleur pushes him off.
Flaviano misses with a head kick.
Lafleur lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Flaviano circles away quickly and effectively.
Lafleur tries to clinch there but Flaviano circles away.
Lafleur ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Flaviano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lafleur clinches with his opponent.

Lafleur breaks from the clinch.
Flaviano clinches but Lafleur breaks the clinch

and Lafleur holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Lafleur turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lafleur manages to end up in side control.

Flaviano tries to escape but Lafleur is in control.
Lafleur scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Flaviano to see if he's OK.
The strikes coming from Lafleur are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Flaviano is not content to let Lafleur control the position.
Flaviano parries the strikes from Lafleur easily there. Lafleur is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Flaviano to escape.
Lafleur wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flaviano keeps working.
Lafleur tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Flaviano wants to get back to his feet but Lafleur drags him back down.

Lafleur tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lafleur has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Flaviano is pushing Lafleur's head away, looking to escape. Lafleur manages to hold on to the position though.
Lafleur cracks Flaviano with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Lafleur is working Flaviano over with some ground and pound from side control.

Flaviano is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Flaviano knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lafleur on the ground.
Flaviano is breathing heavily.
Flaviano dodges the ground and pound from Lafleur.
Lafleur trying to control the action but Flaviano is working from the bottom.
Lafleur is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Lafleur decides to stand back up. Lafleur steps back and let's Flaviano get back to his feet.

Lafleur forces Flaviano back against the cage and clinches.

Lafleur gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Flaviano regains guard.
Flaviano is looking to stand up but Lafleur isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lafleur thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lafleur wants to control from the top but Flaviano keeps moving.
Flaviano avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Lafleur decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Flaviano, up you get!
Flaviano throws a head kick that misses

and Lafleur counters by clinching up.

Lafleur breaks the clinch.

Flaviano tries to keep at a distance but Lafleur has taken the fight into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lafleur lands an elbow just above Flaviano 's eye.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lafleur throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Lafleur has clasped his hands together around Flaviano's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Lafleur decides to stand back up.

Lafleur shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lafleur tries to pass the half guard into mount. Flaviano knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Lafleur wants to work for an arm triangle but Flaviano is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Flaviano wants to get back to his feet.
Flaviano is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lafleur scores with a couple of nice shots.
Lafleur lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Lafleur not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Flaviano is looking to get back to is feet but Lafleur passes into side control.
Lafleur creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Flaviano is trying to buck Lafleur off.
Lafleur working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Flaviano wants to get back to his feet.

Lafleur stands up and we're back to a striking position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lafleur clinches.
Lafleur scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Aiko Zeus Flaviano has been cut.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Lafleur obliges.
Flaviano takes a knee right on the jaw!
Lafleur is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Lafleur connects with a knee to the head.

Lafleur breaks from the clinch.

Lafleur scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lafleur has hold of Flaviano's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Flaviano seems comfortable defending it but Lafleur has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Flaviano is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Flaviano is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lafleur couldn't care less - he's delighted!
