Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bob Jam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Higgedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jam comes to the cage accompanied by Transylvania. Higgedy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: (hed) pe - Blackout. Bob Jam could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pete Higgedy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Jam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pete Higgedy!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jam closes the distance and clinches.

Jam shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Higgedy's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Higgedy holds on and takes a little breather.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Higgedy connects with a nice short shot to Jam's temple.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jam on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Higgedy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Higgedy enables Jam to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Higgedy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bob Jam has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
