PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drew Pelzerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Tooreal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tooreal has chosen Forever as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Drew Pelzerson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dwayne Tooreal!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pelzerson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Tooreal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pelzerson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pelzerson digs a good body shot into Tooreal's ribs.
Pelzerson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tooreal swinging wildly here.
A slapping leg kick lands for Pelzerson.
Pelzerson misses with a takedown attempt - Tooreal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pelzerson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tooreal's sensitive parts.
Pelzerson tries to work over Tooreal's front leg with a kick but Tooreal checks it.
No luck for Pelzerson with that takedown attempt.
Tooreal smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tooreal enables Pelzerson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tooreal manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Pelzerson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Horrible takedown by Pelzerson or perhaps it was just good defense by Tooreal which made him look bad.

Tooreal looks to land a combination but Pelzerson avoids it well.
Tooreal tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pelzerson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pelzerson dives in and grabs Tooreal's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tooreal pushes down on Pelzerson's head and hops out.

Tooreal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tooreal wants it to stay on the feet.

Pelzerson looks for the body kick but Tooreal saw that one coming.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pelzerson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Tooreal is trying to keep Pelzerson in close.

Tooreal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pelzerson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pelzerson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tooreal some visible discomfort.

Drew Pelzerson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pelzerson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tooreal keeps working.
