Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Lowry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthew Dixon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowry avoids the body shot from Dixon.
Lowry works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Lowry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dixon has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Dixon misses with a double jab
and Lowry counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dixon thinking.
Dixon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lowry.

Lowry moves into the clinch successfully.

Lowry decides to pull guard.

Lowry has his foot on Dixon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dixon works his way back into a safe position though.
