Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boss Lacombe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Gamble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boss Lacombe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robbie Gamble!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacombe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gamble paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gamble closes the distance and clinches.
Lacombe has had enough of the clinch but Gamble keeps him there for the moment.
Gamble lands a nice uppercut.
Gamble taking a breather.
Lacombe is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lacombe creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gamble's defenses.

Gamble gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Gamble throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lacombe is trying to stand.
Lacombe trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Gamble perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Lacombe won't allow Gamble to pass to mount.
Well, if Gamble is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Lacombe is looking to escape.
Gamble works his foot free and advances to mount.
Gamble sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gamble with a couple of short strikes.
Lacombe avoids a series of strikes thrown by Gamble.
Lacombe is trying to stand.
Gamble dominating with strikes here.
Lacombe is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Gamble tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
I looks like Gamble might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gamble's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Robbie Gamble.
Lacombe has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Lacombe takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Lacombe darts in trying to clinch
and Gamble cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gamble fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boss Lacombe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gamble has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robbie Gamble dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Gamble gets a clinch.


It looks like Robbie Gamble has been cut.
Lacombe has Gamble pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gamble manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lacombe wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gamble goes for a takedown attempt but Lacombe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lacombe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lacombe dodges the punch combination from Gamble.
Gamble tries to close the distance and clinch but Lacombe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Gamble counters with a left and a right that stings Lacombe.

and Gamble counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lacombe won't be happy with that.

Lacombe is trying to get back to his feet.
Gamble lands a decent elbow from side control.
Gamble controls the position.
Gamble tries to move to mount but Lacombe blocks the move with his legs.
Gamble staying calm.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lacombe wants to get back to his feet but Gamble drags him back down.
A lull in the action here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robbie Gamble hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gamble scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Lacombe closes the distance but Gamble moves to the side

and Gamble counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Gamble slows down the pace here.
Lacombe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gamble smiles and moves away.

Lacombe has managed to clinch.
Gamble tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Gamble is working Lacombe over against the cage.
Lacombe is trying to break free.
Gamble has Lacombe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lacombe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gamble fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Gamble wants a takedown.
Boss Lacombe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Gamble.
Lacombe can't break the clinch.
Lacombe misses with a hook from the clinch.

Lacombe has Gamble pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gamble manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lacombe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Gamble has closed the distance and engaged Lacombe in a clinch.

Gamble has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lacombe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lacombe has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Gamble really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lacombe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gamble controls the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gamble has good solid back control here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robbie Gamble hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Gamble rushes Lacombe and presses him up against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gamble creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Lacombe is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Boss Lacombe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Gamble will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lacombe up against the cage.
Gamble keeps control of Lacombe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Gamble not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well Gamble has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
