The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blacklands misses with a two punch combination.

Sawyer closes the distance and clinches.
Sawyer is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Sawyer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blacklands is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sawyer is trying to drag Blacklands to the mat but Blacklands just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sawyer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sawyer shoots in but no luck this time.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blacklands drops Sawyer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sawyer looks back up at him and smiles so Blacklands waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sawyer is rocked!

It looks like Tom Sawyer has been cut.
Blacklands misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oh Sawyer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sawyer drops his hands momentarily and Blacklands takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Blacklands is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Sawyer like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Sawyer from another fist facial!
