The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Gusmao, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sloppy strikes from Gusmao. Those never looked like landing.
Gusmao connects with the punch.
Gusmao will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gusmao misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gusmao works the jab nicely.
Varas doesn't manage to clinch there - Gusmao circles away.
Gusmao slaps away a takedown attempt from Varas, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Varas throws a lazy head kick
and Gusmao counters with a nice uppercut.
Varas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gusmao counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Varas looks gassed!

Gusmao knocks Varas to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
