Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon McMaster!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson checks a leg kick nicely.
Tyson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McMaster.
McMaster shoots in but Tyson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tyson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tyson misses with a series of wild punches.
No joy there for Tyson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mike Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyson connects with a right hand. McMaster shakes it off.
McMaster dodges the punch combination from Tyson.
Tyson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tyson throws a right and a left that McMaster avoids nicely.
McMaster looks to score with a jab to the body but Tyson is just out of range.

Tyson throws a series of punches but McMaster avoids them all with ease.
McMaster slips a jab and a cross from Tyson.

Tyson throws a nice looking combination but McMaster bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Good leg kick by McMaster there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

McMaster drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tyson is breathing heavily.
McMaster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McMaster throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Tyson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

McMaster drops back looking for a leg! Tyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyson manages to kick McMaster off! McMaster jumps back into Tyson's guard.

McMaster thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Tyson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McMaster forces his way into half guard.
Tyson is in trouble now - McMaster has advanced to mount!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

McMaster goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tyson turns into him and now he's in McMaster's guard.

McMaster looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McMaster looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tyson is one step ahead there.

Tyson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Tyson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McMaster is trying to keep Tyson in close.
Tyson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

It looks like Mike Tyson has been cut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tyson tries to bum rush McMaster with a series of wild strikes but McMaster uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck for McMaster with that takedown attempt.
Mike Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon McMaster.
Tyson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tyson wants it to stay on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McMaster stands up and beckons Tyson to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McMaster keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tyson.
McMaster shoots in but Tyson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Tyson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McMaster moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tyson enables McMaster to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tyson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

McMaster drops back looking for a leg! Tyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyson manages to kick McMaster off! McMaster jumps back into Tyson's guard.

Horrible takedown by McMaster or perhaps it was just good defense by Tyson which made him look bad.

and McMaster counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tyson won't be happy with that.

McMaster goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tyson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for McMaster but great work by Tyson.
McMaster pushes Tyson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tyson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Tyson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Tyson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon McMaster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McMaster throws a low kick but Tyson avoids it.
McMaster shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tyson but Tyson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tyson fails to land with a series of punches.
Tyson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

McMaster gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
McMaster uses his free foot to push down on Tyson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tyson.
Tyson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tyson tries to lock up and control but McMaster gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tyson is working to get back to half guard.

McMaster wants to take Tyson's back here but Tyson is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

McMaster gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
McMaster tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tyson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McMaster somewhat.

and McMaster counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

McMaster is looking for a kimura but Tyson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McMaster to get the leverage.

Tyson pushes McMaster off and gets back to his feet.
Tyson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Tyson tries to sprawl but McMaster drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tyson wants to improve his position but McMaster is controlling well.

McMaster is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tyson!

Tyson wants to control but McMaster is having none of it.
Tyson tries to reverse the position but McMaster maintains control.

McMaster wants to finish this one by submission but Tyson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McMaster.
McMaster sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
McMaster lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

McMaster goes for an armbar but Tyson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Tyson.

McMaster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

McMaster is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Tyson frees his head nicely. Oh but McMaster has switched to an armbar! Tyson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
