Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Pazzini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pazzini comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Morrison!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Morrison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pazzini takes a head kick and keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morrison stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pazzini.

Morrison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pazzini. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pazzini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morrison swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Morrison not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Morrison throws a head kick but Pazzini moves out of range.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Pazzini will probably get the nod.

Pazzini tries to close the distance and clinch but Morrison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Paul Morrison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pazzini avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Morrison lands a jab to the head.

Pazzini closes the distance and pushes Morrison back into the cage.
Morrison wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pazzini has him pressed against the cage.
Morrison throws a knee to the head but misses.
Pazzini lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
The referee is keeping an eye on Morrison - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Pazzini keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Morrison's efforts to push away.

Pazzini escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Morrison slaps away a takedown attempt from Pazzini, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Morrison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Morrison fails to land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Morrison displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pazzini.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Pazzini. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Morrison tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Pazzini tries to clinch but Morrison is having none of it.

Paul Morrison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Matt Pazzini is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pazzini misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Pazzini counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pazzini wants to pass the guard but Morrison is keeping the position.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Morrison lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pazzini circles away quickly and effectively.

and Pazzini counters with a series of strikes. Morrison will be more careful next time no doubt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pazzini accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pazzini wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving.
Morrison wants to sweep here but Pazzini controlling him for the moment.

Pazzini trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pazzini thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
