Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nintendo Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kashihiro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takada throws out the jab.
Akiyama just misses with a punch to the body.
Horrible takedown by Akiyama or perhaps it was just good defense by Takada which made him look bad.

Takada throws a nice looking combination but Akiyama bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Akiyama shoots in looking for a takedown. Takada tries to sprawl out of it but Akiyama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Takada manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Takada looks up at the clock and then as Akiyama takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Takada smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Takada looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Akiyama with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Takada connects with a nice short shot to Akiyama's temple.
