PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Krkic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krkic has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Silva tries to circle away but Krkic has him pinned against the cage.

Krkic decides to pull guard.
Silva with a flurry of punches that miss.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Krkic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Silva's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Krkic wants to sweep but no luck.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Silva trying to control but Krkic is working from the bottom.
Krkic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Krkic, up you get!

Silva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Krkic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Krkic is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krkic manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Krkic's guard.

Krkic wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Silva lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Marcos Silva was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.

Marcos Silva dominated that round.

Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Krkic was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Silva postures up and lands a big shot to Krkic's brow.
Silva stops Krkic from standing up.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Krkic's guard.

Silva is trying for a kimura here. Krkic looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Silva wins by kimura!
