Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Emo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Emo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Brotha Lynch Hung & MC Eiht - You Don't Know Who I Know. James Martin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Emo.

It looks like James Martin has been cut.
Emo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nice sprawl there from Emo as Martin shoots in.
Emo ducks under a wild hook from Martin.
Martin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Martin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Emo counter with a right hand.
Martin tries to clinch but Emo is having none of it.
Martin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Martin looks to score with a jab to the body but Emo is just out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Martin.

Emo throws a body punch but Martin moves out of range.
Martin throws a head kick that misses.
Martin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

James Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Emo shoots in and bounces Martin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Martin is trying to control but can't.

Emo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Martin is surviving well by controlling Emo's body position as best he can.

Martin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Emo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Emo tries to control but Martin wriggling away.
Emo breaks from Martin's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Martin just trying to survive but Emo is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Emo is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Martin up.
Emo is punishing Martin with strikes - can he finish him?!
Martin staying busy and making it hard for Emo to control.
Martin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Martin covers up after that shot from Emo.
Emo tries to keep control of the position but Martin is staying busy.

Emo decides to get back to his feet. A strange decision but one that the crowd certainly appreciate.
Martin misses with a combination
enabling Emo to counter with a crisp jab.
Emo fails to land with a series of punches.
Martin moves to clinch but Emo breaks away
and Emo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Martin's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Martin duly obliges.

Martin misses with a jab to the body
and Emo counters with a left to the body.
Emo throws a right and a left that both miss.
A chopping leg kick lands by Emo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Emo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Emo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Martin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Emo.

Emo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Martin doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Martin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Emo defends well.
Emo distracts Martin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Emo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Martin's guard.
Emo is looking to take a break and control but Martin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Emo in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Martin tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Emo!
