The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Overeem checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Overeem looks to land a body kick but Allister moved away.
A telegraphed right hand from Allister misses the target.
Good shot there by Overeem.
Overeem lands a jab.
Allister throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Overeem's waist but Overeem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Allister off to one side.
Overeem throws a right hand that Allister ducks under and follows up with a left that Allister also avoids with ease.
Bubba Allister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Allister checks the leg kick.
Allister fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Allister throws a head kick that misses.
Overeem clinches.
Overeem breaks the clinch.
Overeem scores with a punch to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Overeem blocks a head kick by Allister.
Overeem throws an uppercut from hell that sends Allister clean off his feet! He's out cold! Overeem stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
