Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Moonstick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Moonstick is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shawn Burton!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Burton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Burton lands a lovely overhand right.

Burton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Moonstick throws a series of punches but Burton avoids them all with ease.

Moonstick shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Shawn Burton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Burton takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Burton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Burton moves out of range of the leg kick from Moonstick.

It looks like Shawn Burton has been cut.
Moonstick fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Burton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Moonstick tries to bum rush Burton with a series of wild strikes but Burton uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Moonstick seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Lee Moonstick wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Moonstick connects with a leg kick. Burton looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Burton throws a sloppy head kick and Moonstick moves out of range easily.

Burton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Moonstick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Burton.

Burton lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Burton checks the leg kick nicely there.

Burton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Burton's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Moonstick throws a knee to the head but misses.

Burton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Moonstick can't fight it off and eventually Burton manages to take the fight to the floor. Moonstick looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Moonstick looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Moonstick is desperately trying to improve his position but Burton has a good base and remains in mount.

Burton is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Moonstick to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Moonstick shrugs it off.

I think Burton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
