The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Smith throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Keller.
Smith misses with a takedown

so Keller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Keller trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Keller throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smith works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Keller wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.
Keller not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Keller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Smith wants to get back to his feet but Keller is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Keller passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Smith tries to get to full guard but Keller has control of the leg.
Keller seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
