Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angry Angus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvarez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Nelly - Boom. Thiago Alvarez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez tries to land a front kick but Angus steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Alvarez scores with the left hand. Angus knows he should have avoided that one.
Alvarez tests Angus's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Alvarez lands a jab to the nose.
Angus takes a jab right on the kisser.
Alvarez misses with a double jab.
Angus swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Alvarez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Alvarez takes a swing at Angus's ribcage but misses.
Alvarez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Angus throws a hook but Alvarez blocks it.

Alvarez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Angus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Alvarez lunges at Angus with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Angus's hand.

Angus ducks right into an uppercut from Alvarez.
Angus tries to move into range but Alvarez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Alvarez lands an overhand right.
Angus takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Alvarez wants to land a leg kick but Angus is out of range.
Angus throws a lazy right hand but Alvarez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Alvarez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Angus misses the body punch
and Alvarez counters with a left and a right that stings Angus.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Angus slips a jab and a cross from Alvarez.
A swing and a miss from Angus.
Alvarez pivots, looking for a leg kick but Angus is out of range and Alvarez settles back down.

Angus tries to sprawl but Alvarez drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Angus is looking for a sweep. Alvarez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Alvarez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Angus checks the leg kick.
Alvarez fails with an attempt to clinch.
A nice combination there by Alvarez.
Alvarez connects with a leg kick. Angus looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Angus is breathing heavily.
Alvarez slips under a jab from Angus.

Angus blocks a head kick by Alvarez.
Alvarez punishes Angus's body with a nice straight punch.
Alvarez lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Alvarez cracks a nice hook into Angus's ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alvarez lands a jab to Angus's midsection.
Alvarez catches Angus with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Alvarez lands a head kick. Angus smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Angus is rocked!
Alvarez throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Angus stumbling backwards into the cage! Angus bounces back off the cage towards Alvarez, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Alvarez lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Alvarez celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
