Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapointe has chosen Don't Drink The Water as his entrance music. Luke Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bill Lapointe!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lee misses with a wild body shot.
Lee lands with a nice combination. Lapointe backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Bill Lapointe has been cut.

Lapointe gets a takedown into half guard.
Lapointe wants to pass the guard but Lee is defending well.
Lee is controlling Lapointe's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Lapointe prevents Lee from improving his position.
Lee is positioning himself well to prevent Lapointe advancing to mount.
Lee moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lapointe sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Lapointe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lapointe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lapointe on the ground.
Lee is looking to regain half guard here but Lapointe keeps moving and retains side control.

Lee is working hard here to advance position.

Lapointe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lapointe trying to control the position but Lee is working away.
Lee is trying to control Lapointe's posture but Lapointe avoids it.

Lapointe wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lee, who protects the arm well.
Lapointe wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.

Lapointe controlling from side mount.
Lapointe tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lee's legs.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lapointe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Lee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Lapointe tries for a kimura but Lee is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lapointe prevents Lee from escaping the position.
Lapointe in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Lee wants to control but Lapointe postures up.
Lee is trying to buck Lapointe off.
Lee gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Lee can't escape the position.

Lapointe with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bill Lapointe will probably get the nod.

Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lapointe loads up on a big right hand but Lee slips the punch.
Lee scores with a nice right hand.

Lapointe has Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee misses with some punches.
Lapointe scores with a nice hook to the head.
Lee misses with a body punch.
Lee has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lapointe lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lee backwards.
Lee blocks an uppercut.
Lapointe misses with a punch to the body.
Lapointe tries a body shot but Lee blocks it.
Lee has a couple of punches blocked by Lapointe.
Lee can't find room to land a body shot as Lapointe controls the action.
Lee struggles to land a body shot inside as Lapointe controls his hands.
Lapointe is looking to control Lee's arms but Lee gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lapointe has his back to the cage.
Lapointe throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Lee tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lapointe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab.
Lapointe blocks a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lapointe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lee.
Lapointe loads up on a big right hand but Lee slips the punch.
Lapointe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lapointe gets slowly back to his feet.
Lapointe scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lee in his tracks.
Lee throws a leg kick that misses.
Lee scores with a body shot.
Lee uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lapointe.
Lee misses with a body shot.
Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lee tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lapointe is able to avoid easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Lapointe is just out of range.
Lee attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Lee looks to throw the jab but Lapointe is out of range.
Lapointe moves out of range as Lee strikes.
Luke Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lee slips a jab from Lapointe.
Lapointe checks a low kick from Lee.
Lee waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lapointe.
Lapointe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lee.
Lee will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Lee lands a left and a right that send Lapointe crashing to the mat, dazed. Lee thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Lapointe is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lapointe looks up at the clock. Bad move! Lee lands a right hand from hell, dropping Lapointe. Lee pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Lee!
