Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Semtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spaced Elite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Semtex misses with the combination.
Semtex is looking to clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Elite enables Semtex to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Elite manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Semtex would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Semtex drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Semtex jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Semtex is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Elite has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Elite!

Elite got a little sloppy there for a moment and Semtex has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Elite has managed to get both his arms back between Semtex's legs - danger averted.

Semtex's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
