Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cory Rose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Garet Jax!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jax fails with the takedown.
Jax fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jax shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cory Rose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Garet Jax.
A jab lands there for Rose.
Rose looks to land a right hand but Jax moved out of range.
Horrible takedown by Jax or perhaps it was just good defense by Rose which made him look bad.
Jax fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rose scores with a nice right hand.
Jax takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Jax doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Rose throws a hook but Jax avoids it easily.

Rose loads up on a big right hand but Jax slips the punch.
Jax moves away from the strike by Rose.
Rose scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Jax looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rose is trying to stand back up but Jax is controlling him
Jax is nestled in close to Rose, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jax wants to pass the guard but Rose is defending well.
Jax has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jax looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Rose tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Jax manages to move to mount!

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Rose looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Jax! Submission of the night perhaps?
