Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A jab from Cote misses.
Xystorophroi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cote feints a jab promting Xystorophroi to slip. Cote then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Xystorophroi slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Xavier Xystorophroi has been cut.
Cote tries to clinch up.
Cote throws a right and a left that Xystorophroi avoids nicely.

Xystorophroi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Cote throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Xystorophroi is defended easily by Cote.
Cote will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Xystorophroi misses with a takedown attempt - Cote sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Urijah Cote has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Xystorophroi.
Cote looks to land a combination but Xystorophroi avoids it well.

Xystorophroi drops back looking for a leg! Cote is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cote manages to kick Xystorophroi off! Xystorophroi jumps back into Cote's guard.

Xystorophroi throws a strike but Cote rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Cote goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Urijah Cote will probably get the nod.

A punch lands to the side of Xystorophroi 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cote moves in looking to clinch but Xystorophroi pushes him off.
Urijah Cote is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Xystorophroi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
