James comes to the cage accompanied by What's the difference. Money has chosen Gives You Hell as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rip James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Smasher Money !
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Money doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.

Money shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches James napping and manages to drive through into side control!
James wants to get back to his feet but Money drags him back down.
James tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Money tries to stand but James is controlling his head.
James gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. James manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Money manages to get himself to full guard.
James passes into half guard.
James seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.


It looks like Smasher Money has been cut.
James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

James is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Money is just riding it out for now. James eventually gives up the hold.
James content to control rather than advance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Money really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Money looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Money is defending against the submission attempts here by James.
James works his way into full mount!

James jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Money manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Money takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Check out the look on James's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!


That has opened up Smasher Money 's cut even more.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Smasher Money 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
