Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pyyno Janis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Monstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janis comes to the cage accompanied by Rubber Johnny. Monstra has chosen Slayer - Hate Worldwide as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Monstra, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Janis looks for a takedown but Monstra sprawls well.
Monstra scores with a jab.
Monstra throws a right and a left that both miss.
A telegraphed right hand from Monstra misses the target.

Janis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Janis throws a sloppy strike and Monstra uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Monstra has ended up in Janis's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Monstra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Janis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Janis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Monstra looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Monstra tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Janis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Janis is taking a breather. Monstra says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Janis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Janis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Monstra can do to turn this around?
Monstra wants to control but Janis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Janis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Marcus Monstra's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marcus Monstra's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
