Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JT Winter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson comes into the arena with White Knuckles blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, JT Winter!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Winter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Troy Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peterson is looking to land body kicks.

Winter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peterson sprawls well initially but Winter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Winter controlling the pace.
Peterson is breathing heavily.
Winter wants to pass to mount but Peterson is defending the position.
Winter moves nicely into side control.
Winter landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Winter has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Peterson!

Winter prevents Peterson from getting the reversal.

Peterson is in a horrible position here. Winter smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Peterson is working to get back to half guard.
Winter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Peterson is bucking up trying to escape but Winter cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Peterson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Winter stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Peterson tries for a takedown but Winter circles away easily

and Winter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Winter.
Winter content to stall in guard here.
Winter takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Peterson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Winter can do anything to dispel that myth.

Peterson stops Winter from getting back to his feet.

Winter misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Winter gets full guard.
Winter is pulling down on Peterson's head. It's preventing any offense from Peterson, at least for the moment.

Peterson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Peterson wants to stand but Winter is controlling his posture from full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

JT Winter dominated that round.
That's time! Peterson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Winter feints and as Peterson raises his hands in defense, Winter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Winter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
JT Winter has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Despite being in the dominant position, JT Winter just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Winter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Peterson circles away.
Winter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Winter shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Winter showed some decent athleticism there.

Winter cracks Peterson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Winter is standing up, even though he is in mount.
A head kick by Winter misses
and Peterson counters with a body kick.
Peterson shoots for a takedown but Winter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Winter shoots in but no luck this time.
Peterson wants to clinch but Winter slips to the side

and Winter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Winter is pressed up against the cage. Peterson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Winter down to the mat. Winter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Winter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Winter lands in his opponent's guard.

Winter trying to control but Peterson is working from the bottom.
Peterson looking for a sweep. Not yet Peterson, not yet.
Winter looking to pass the guard.

Peterson wriggles free and stands up.
Troy Peterson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Peterson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Winter counters with a single leg into guard. Peterson didn't expect that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Troy Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Winter is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Winter has Peterson pushed against the cage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

JT Winter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Peterson has Winter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Winter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Winter pulls Peterson in to control the position.
Winter keeping moving, preventing Peterson from controlling successfully.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Winter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peterson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Peterson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Peterson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Winter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Winter is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Winter slips a nice elbow through Peterson's hands, connecting with Peterson's forehead.
Still in half guard, Winter seems content to control.
Winter not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Winter is pressing down on Peterson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Peterson is holding on for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Winter stuffs the takedown attempt from Peterson. Peterson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Troy Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Winter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Winter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Peterson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Winter in particular looking to stall.
Troy Peterson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

JT Winter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Winter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
