The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haye lands a leg kick that knocks Pavlyuchenko off balance momentarily.
Pavlyuchenko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Haye manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Pavlyuchenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Haye circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Haye scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Haye lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Oh Pavlyuchenko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Haye throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pavlyuchenko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Haye closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pavlyuchenko to the mat! Pavlyuchenko manages to get full guard.
Pavlyuchenko is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Haye is controlling him.
Haye stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Haye changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pavlyuchenko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Haye scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pavlyuchenko doesn't seem bothered though.
Haye lands a nice hook to Pavlyuchenko's body. Pavlyuchenko takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Pavlyuchenko takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Haye throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pavlyuchenko on the side of the head.

Haye lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Pavlyuchenko gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Haye gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Pavlyuchenko is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
