Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Luis Cantero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuu Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cantero's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, La mandanga. Takeshi has chosen On The Dub-ble as his entrance music. Ryuu Takeshi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Luis Cantero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuu Takeshi!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Cantero jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Takeshi walks away with a smile on his face. Cantero gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Cantero takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Cantero sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cantero. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Cantero is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Takeshi has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Takeshi!

Cantero looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Takeshi wants to stand and escape but instead Cantero has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Cantero wants to control from the top but Takeshi keeps moving.

Cantero loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cantero drops back, looking for a kneebar! Takeshi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Takeshi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Takeshi!
