Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emerson MONTAIN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Dostoevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Emerson MONTAIN!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Dostoevsky!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Dostoevsky.

Dostoevsky closes the distance looking to clinch
and MONTAIN cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and MONTAIN counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Fedor Dostoevsky has been cut.
Dostoevsky wants to land a leg kick but MONTAIN is out of range.

MONTAIN gets a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
MONTAIN goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

MONTAIN ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. MONTAIN no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
MONTAIN pulls Dostoevsky in close to his closed guard and prevents Dostoevsky from doing any damage or advancing position.
MONTAIN throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dostoevsky wants to get up but he can't break MONTAIN's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Dostoevsky stands up and waves to MONTAIN to follow him.

and MONTAIN counters with a shoot takedown. Dostoevsky fights it but they end up in guard.
MONTAIN sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dostoevsky keeping full guard, as MONTAIN tries to pass.
MONTAIN is working hard here to advance position.

MONTAIN engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Emerson MONTAIN has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

MONTAIN fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dostoevsky sprawls well initially but MONTAIN persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dostoevsky is trying to control but can't.
MONTAIN throwing shots but Dostoevsky is blocking nicely.
MONTAIN trying to control the pace.
MONTAIN's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Emerson MONTAIN.

MONTAIN closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dostoevsky did well to prevent MONTAIN getting side control.
MONTAIN looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

MONTAIN stands up out of the half guard.

MONTAIN closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

MONTAIN escapes and gets back to his feet.
Dostoevsky throws a leg kick but MONTAIN moved away.
MONTAIN circles away from the clinch attempt

and MONTAIN counters with a takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dostoevsky is looking for a sweep.
Dostoevsky looks gassed!
MONTAIN remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dostoevsky takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
MONTAIN controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dostoevsky is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Emerson MONTAIN dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Dostoevsky throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but MONTAIN blocks it with crossed arms.
Dostoevsky is breathing heavily.

MONTAIN has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dostoevsky is trying to keep an underhook but MONTAIN manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
MONTAIN passes to full mount!
MONTAIN landing strikes, looking to finish!


Dostoevsky is rocked!

A big strike lands for MONTAIN! That's really hurt Dostoevsky and he's turned his back - MONTAIN keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! MONTAIN jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Emerson MONTAIN!
