Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bozigit Atayev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bozigit Atayev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atayev rushes Jefferson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Atayev has Jefferson pressed against the cage, preventing Jefferson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Atayev is trying to stall.

Jefferson breaks from the clinch.
Jefferson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Jefferson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Atayev, pushing him back against the cage.
Jefferson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jefferson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Atayev just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jefferson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Atayev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bozigit Atayev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Jefferson.

Jefferson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jefferson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Atayev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
