Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaron Alexander looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ferro.
Ferro lands a jab to Alexander 's midsection.
Alexander pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Ferro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ferro wants to pass the guard but Alexander is defending well.

Ferro is looking for a kimura here.
Alexander on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alexander tries to get out of the position.
Alexander is staying active underneath Ferro, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ferro tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alexander knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

and Ferro decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alexander 's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ferro drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Alexander dives on top into guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ferro has his foot on Alexander 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alexander works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferro has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Alexander !

Ferro is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alexander can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ferro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alexander moves away.
Ferro connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Alexander chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ferro can pounce on him.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ferro. That's going to slow Alexander down.

Ferro jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Alexander manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Ferro is working to tighten is grip on Alexander 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Alexander has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ferro is really squeezing tight and eventually Alexander passes out! Ferro breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
