Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between killa bazilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarkko Ruutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, killa bazilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jarkko Ruutu!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruutu lands a lovely overhand right.
Ruutu lands a slapping body shot.
Ruutu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but bazilla moves away.
bazilla blocks a jab.
Ruutu misses with a straight right.
bazilla moves in looking to clinch but Ruutu pushes him off.
A punch combination from Ruutu misses.
Ruutu moves out of range as bazilla strikes.
Ruutu throws a hook but bazilla avoids it easily.
bazilla shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ruutu sprawls well. Ruutu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. bazilla gets slowly back to his feet.
Ruutu cracks bazilla with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like killa bazilla has been cut.
Ruutu waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract bazilla.
bazilla closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ruutu circles away.
Ruutu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for killa bazilla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
bazilla ducks under a wild hook from Ruutu.
Ruutu looks to land a combination. bazilla sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
bazilla drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Ruutu misses with a hook. bazilla ducked under it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ruutu jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oh bazilla is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
bazilla shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ruutu pinned against the cage. Ruutu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
bazilla seems to have got his legs back now.
bazilla closes the distance and clinches up with Ruutu, looking for a takedown. bazilla pushes Ruutu against the cage but Ruutu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
bazilla is breathing heavily.
Ruutu lunges at bazilla with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by bazilla's hand.
bazilla staying out of range there.
Jarkko Ruutu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
bazilla avoids a punch combination nicely.
bazilla shoots in looking for a takedown but Ruutu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing bazilla's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
bazilla throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ruutu's waist but Ruutu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing bazilla off to one side.
bazilla takes one to the side of the head.
bazilla takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ruutu cracks bazilla with a good jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ruutu dances in with a quick combination. bazilla is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Ruutu snaps bazilla's head back. bazilla stumbles backwards against the cage. Ruutu steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with bazilla's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. bazilla just didn't come prepared.
