The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huerte defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Batungbakal.
Batungbakal shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Huerte pinned against the cage. Huerte gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jacob Bryan Batungbakal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Huerte has managed to clinch.
Huerte wants to break the clinch but can't.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Huerte tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Batungbakal avoids it.
Batungbakal keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Huerte's efforts to push away.

Batungbakal is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Huerte is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Huerte has escaped and now he's on top!
Huerte postures up.
Batungbakal looking for a guillotine here but Huerte defends easily.
Huerte would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Batungbakal looking to control.
Huerte must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Huerte wants to stand and escape but instead Batungbakal has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Batungbakal slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ground and pound from Batungbakal seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Batungbakal is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Huerte knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Batungbakal throws a strike aimed at the side of Huerte's head but Huerte avoids it well.

Batungbakal is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Huerte is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Batungbakal throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Batungbakal looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Batungbakal jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Huerte is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Huerte and Batungbakal has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Batungbakal could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Huerte can't do much from the bottom here.
Batungbakal tries for a kimura but Huerte is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Batungbakal's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Huerte tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Batungbakal throws a sloppy head kick
and Huerte finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Huerte.
It looks like Jacob Bryan Batungbakal has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Batungbakal shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Huerte counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Huerte looks at the referee who does nothing so Huerte lands a crushing right that sends Batungbakal to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roger Huerte!
