Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sixx throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Vines fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sixx digs a good body shot into Vines's ribs.
Sixx stuns Vines with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Vines is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sixx loads up on a big right hand but Vines slips the punch.

Vines drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Vines prevents Sixx from escaping the position.
Sixx is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vines off and has taken his back!
Vines prevents Sixx from getting a body triangle.
Sixx misses with an elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sixx misses with punches from the back.
Sixx tries to get the hooks in deep but Vines pushed the leg off.
Vines covering up well and avoiding damage.
Vines grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Vines just trying to survive but Sixx is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Sixx is hanging on to Vines's back as he tries to escape.

Sixx is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Vines defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Sixx throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Vines turns into Sixx and is now in his guard.

Vines drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sixx dives on top into guard.
Sixx trying to control the position from guard on top but Vines is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vines manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sixx can't escape the position.

Vines is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sixx can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sixx tries to control the position but Vines now has his back.

Sixx has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Vines not allowing Sixx to control his hands.

Vines is trying to stick to Sixx's back but Sixx is turning into Vines. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Vines's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sixx.

Vines had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sixx defends it easily.

Vines manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Sixx throws a low kick but Vines avoids it.
Sixx misses with the combination.
A head kick misses from Vines.
Sinn Sixx is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Vines fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sixx sprawls well initially but Vines persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Vines seems to be looking for submissions.

Vines is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Sixx wants to get back to full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Sixx is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Vines has latched onto it... Big trouble! Vines pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Sixx is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Vines!
