Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artem Muhomorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Kalashnikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artem Muhomorov!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muhomorov misses with a double jab.
Kalashnikov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Muhomorov.
Artem Muhomorov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muhomorov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kalashnikov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Muhomorov's waist but Muhomorov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kalashnikov off to one side.

Kalashnikov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kalashnikov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Muhomorov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kalashnikov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kalashnikov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Muhomorov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kalashnikov is controlling him.

It looks like Andrei Kalashnikov has been cut.
Muhomorov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Muhomorov scores with a jab. Kalashnikov acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Artem Muhomorov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Muhomorov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kalashnikov shoots for a double leg takedown but Muhomorov sprawls well. He's pushed Kalashnikov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Muhomorov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Kalashnikov jumps guard and drags Muhomorov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Muhomorov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kalashnikov is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Muhomorov has managed to escape the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Artem Muhomorov.
I think Muhomorov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
