Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Blicharz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Granite Stones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Blicharz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Blicharz !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Granite Stones!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blicharz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stones avoids it really well and circles away.
Blicharz looks to land a combination. Stones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Stones misses with a few strikes there.
Blicharz fails with the takedown.

Stones moves into the clinch.
Stones lands with a short shot to the head.

Stones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stones slips a jab and a cross from Blicharz .
Blicharz throws a jab when Stones was well out of range.

Stones drives through with a takedown into guard.

Blicharz looking for a guillotine here but Stones defends easily.
Stones wants to stand but Blicharz is controlling his posture from full guard.

Stones working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Blicharz 's head.

Stones wants to get up but he can't break Blicharz 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

I looks like Stones might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Granite Stones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Blicharz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stones's waist but Stones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blicharz off to one side.

Stones paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The fighters circle momentarily. Stones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Good work by Blicharz as he checks the leg kick.

Granite Stones seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Stones throws a hook to the side of Blicharz 's head but Blicharz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Stones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blicharz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stones somewhat.

Stones throws a lazy right hand but Blicharz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blicharz throws a left and a right that both miss

and Stones counters with a single leg into guard. Blicharz didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blicharz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Stones frees his head nicely. Oh but Blicharz has switched to an armbar! Stones is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
