Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Smith struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Max Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oliveira walks away with a smile on his face. Smith gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Oliveira tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oliveira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oliveira shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smith is trying to defend but Oliveira finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Oliveira is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Oliveira has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Smith defend it? Oliveira steps over the head and cranks it - Smith is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Oliveira!
