The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viola walks into a stiff left hand from Clark.
It looks like Viggo Viola has been cut.

Clark closes the distance and clinches up with Viola, looking for a takedown. Clark pushes Viola against the ropes but Viola circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kent Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clark waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Viola. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Viola to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Clark throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Viola was covering up waiting for the punch and Clark finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Clark is looking to stand up but Viola won't let him.
Viola is working an open guard so Clark takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Viola uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Clark.

Clark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Viola stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Clark get's back to his feet.
Clark feints and as Viola raises his hands in defense, Clark changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Viola has a closed guard, preventing Clark from standing up.
Viola is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clark lands a really nice looking cross but Viola seems unphased.
Clark connects with a body shot that sends Viola's belly button to the back.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clark bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
