The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ueshiba shoots in and drives through. Alves sprawls well.
Ueshiba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alves pinned against the cage. Alves gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ueshiba shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alves as he avoids it easily.
Alves dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheers as Alves lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ueshiba doesn't seem phased though.
Ueshiba shoots for a double leg takedown but Alves sprawls well. He's pushed Ueshiba's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Alves is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
