Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jean Claude Van Dam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martin Kampman!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kampman tries to clinch up
and Van Dam cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kampman takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Van Dam fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kampman, pushing him back against the ropes.
Kampman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Van Dam is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Van Dam gets underhooks to prevent Kampman's takedown attempt.
A head punch on the inside from Van Dam fails to land.
Van Dam gets through Kampman's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Van Dam throws a head punch that misses.
Van Dam lands with a left to the head.
Kampman tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jean Claude Van Dam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Kampman.
Van Dam pushes Kampman back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Van Dam lands with a right to the head.
Van Dam lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kampman backwards.

Kampman is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Van Dam gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Van Dam throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kampmans head.
Van Dam scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Van Dam lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kampman backwards.
Van Dam stops a takedown attempt from Kampman.
Van Dam scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Van Dam unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Kampman! He's leaning against the ropes trying to keep his feet but Van Dam is unloading with more strikes now! Kampman drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
